Well the visit to Anglesey went very well. We had lovely weather, and no mishaps. We visited the prehistoric
village by South Stacks where we spent a good hour wandering through the village and wondering what the people were like and
what it would be like to actually live there. I kept thinking how lovely it would be, no stress and you knew exactly what
was expected of you and its so pretty as well! Then someone pointed out that I'm comparing my present life to life then,
and it doesn't really work, I probably wouldn't hav e appreciated it, and would have had other things to moan about.
Ah well. Then we went on to Barclodiad y Gawres. Sadly, we couldn't get in because now its only open at weekends
and bank holidays, but you could sort of squint into the gloom. Again a beautiful setting. I think the site must have
been very important to the Bronze Age people. A tomb with a view. On to Bryn Celi Ddhu. A bit of a hike, and we picked
up a friend on the way, a border collie who really seemed interested in what we were doing and wanted to come home with us!
When we told him where we were from he changed his mind. The last stop was at a henge monument and I can't remember
its name, but its worth a visit. It is an earthworks, truncated by a house built at the beginning of the last century I think.
That's a shame, but still. Next time we may go for a weekend to Bath. Kevin wants to go there, too much
Bonekickers I think!
